Swiping beats debating

Every matchup is a snap decision: this stay or that one. Behind the taps, an Elo rating (the chess one) turns everyone's picks into a live leaderboard the whole party can see.

Nobody writes a three-paragraph case for their favourite. Nobody gets steamrolled. The winner is just... the winner.

Fair questions

+ Do my friends need an account or an app?

No. You share a link or a 6-letter code, they open it in any browser, type a name and start voting. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

+ Where do the hotels come from?

Members paste links to listings they like on Booking.com, Airbnb, Agoda or Hostelworld. VoteStay reads the listing's public title and photo to build the vote cards; booking itself always happens on the original site.

+ How does the voting work?

Two stays appear side by side and you tap the one you prefer, matchup after matchup. Every member votes each pair once. Results feed an Elo rating, the same idea chess uses, so the leaderboard reflects the whole group's taste rather than the loudest voice.

+ Is VoteStay free?

Yes, completely. You book on the listing site at their normal prices. VoteStay is not affiliated with or endorsed by Booking.com, Airbnb, Agoda or Hostelworld.

+ What happens to our data?

Parties delete themselves 90 days after the last activity. The only cookie is a functional random identifier, and there are no ads and no tracking. Details in our privacy policy.
